Tour Description:

This family friendly Ocho Rios excursion begins at your cruise ship port or resort.

Dunns River Falls is next; a refreshing spot where generations of visitors have been thrilled by the guided 600 ft. climb up the falls. For those of you who are a little more adventurous and looking for a challenge, climb on your own up the rugged right side of the falls.

If you prefer to meander to the top of the falls without getting wet, there is a staircase right next to the falls.

For those of you who prefer a more sedate visit, there is an inviting beach at the base of the Falls where the river and ocean meet. This Dunns River Falls excursion lasts approximately 2 hours.

Next stop, after a scenic 15 minute drive, is the famous White River. On your journey to this inviting river you will have the opportunity to view "behind the scenes" Jamaica while touring the local neighborhoods of Ocho Rios. Upon arrival at White River, you will find a changing area, life jackets, and a shop.

The thrills begin when you plop down into a tube outfitted with a bottom to begin your breathtaking journey through mild rapids and placid pools as you continue to drift along the White River which takes approximately 45 minutes. Midway through this aquatic adventure you will have the option to take a breathtaking 20ft jump into the deep blue river water while having your photo taken by a member of the attentive White River Tubing staff.

The entire White River adventure lasts approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes, depending on how much time is spent at the midway stop & river water flow.

Your guide will pick you up at the conclusion of the tubing and take you to a duty free shopping center (easy walk to ship) before returning to your ship or resort. There is also an optional stop (if selected) at the renowned "Margaritaville" where Jimmy Buffett's "Parrothead" fans love to relax on the beach with Authentic Jerk lunch. Enjoying a water slide, rooftop whirlpool, regular pool... and of course, a swim-up bar for a variety of alcoholic/non alcoholic beverages.

We had a very nice time on our excursions to the falls and the river tubing. The girl who checked us in was fantastic and the transaction was handled beautifully. Our driver was great and offered a lot of helpful advice in navigating the Falls Park as well as the tubing excursion, making sure we were set and safe before moving on. I will say that he was a bit late picking us up both times although I do understand that this is difficult. In the Falls Park, the driver warned us that the merchandise tent operators were going to be very aggressive and that if we didn't want to buy to just keep our hands in our pockets and keep walking. Boy, was he right!! That was probably the worst merchandise area I have ever visted in that they are extremely aggressive and it is a very uncomfortable area to walk through. Not any fault of your own of course. The falls themselves were beautiful and we took lots of great pictures. I did feel like our guide "ran" us through the whole thing and it was much more crowded than I expected. I realize this is the most popular tourist attraction in Ocho Rios so I should have expected that. The tubing area was fun, but it is rather out of the way and a little unsettling for a possibly nervous traveler. Our guide was very nice but shouted songs in our ears the entire tube ride. To be honest, it would have been nicer to tube in silence then to have childish nursery ryhmes and Bob Marley sang extreemly loudly into our ears. It took away from the natural beauty. I am not sure I would recommend this excursion to friends and family because it is very short, and you don't really see anything. So although we laughed a bit, I am not sure it was worth it. Overall, I would definitely recommend Jaital to my family and friends as we felt cared for and safe. I would caution people about the falls and would discourage people from the tubing. Both sites were beautiful; however, the amount of people that were at the Dunns River Falls excursion made it very difficult to enjoy. It was too much and I would not choose to do it again because it is difficult to enjoy something so cool when there are literally people all around you. When we arrived at the River Tubing we sat and waited for an hour then finally had to get difficult with the people there in order to be allowed to go. We arrived on a cruise ship in Ocho Rios and we were a family of 12 ranging from the age of 72 to 7 years old and thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Dunns River Falls and water tubing. There are guides to help you climb the falls and it took about 1.5 hours to climb to the top of the falls. you will need water shoes to climb the falls (shoes are available for purchase for US$10 per fair at the falls). We had a group of 17 people for the water tubing and there were 3 guides to help us - very relaxing ride on the big tubes. Staci, our guide and Orlando, our driver, were courteous and friendly and were on time both at the start and returning us to the cruise ship on time. We would highly recommend this tour. We joined you for the River Tubing and Dunns River Falls excursion. We were one of two couples picked up from the cruise port and taken to the river. The driver and our guide were both FANTASTIC! They both tried very hard to make our visit fun, personal and memorable. They understood we wanted some authentic chicken so they took us to the Ocho Rios Jerk Centre and that chicken was amazing! We felt like we were eating like locals and not from a tourist place. Your representatives also knew we wanted to do some shopping so they offered to take us to a mall and wait for us to browse and shop. Jaital was very easy to work with especially when we had to make some changes at the last minute. Everything on the excursion was exactly as promised. We had a group of 8 senior adults go on this excursion on January 6, 2016. It was a wonderful experience. Our guide, Stacy, was fantastic. Our experience was wonderful. Our guide was waiting for us when we got off the ship. We boarded the van and received a private tour for our party of 7. Our guide first took us to river tubing and told us interesting facts about Jamaica along the way. Tubing was awesome. The area was beautiful. The water was clean and clear. The rapids were exciting. We stopped half way and took turns jumping off the bridge into the water. The kids loved it! Our guide met us at the end of tubing and took us to the Dunns River Falls. That was a great experience. If we hadn’t been pressed for time, we would have loved to climb the falls a second time. Our guide then returned us to our ship (on time! ). Thanks for everything. Our family loved this excursion. Our driver, Orlando, took great care of us. He was our dedicated driver and waited for us at every stop plus gave us great advice. We were on a cruise and booking through Jaital saved us money and the excursion wasn\\\'t packed with other passengers. Orlando knew to take us to Dunn\\\'s Falls first to avoid the crowds and then we had an amazing time tubing down the river. He then suggested other places we might want to visit. We wanted Jerk Chicken so he brought us to a great authentic restaurant and bought us a Red Stripe! This was one of the best excursions we have ever done. The booking process was very simple and quick. When we got off the boat we knew right where to go, very easy to find. Stacey was awesome!!!!! We lived her....she told us so much about Jamaica...Orlando was our driver and he was also awesome! He stopped us by a really good place so we could buy jerk chicken. It was awesome. Our tour guides down the river was George & Bennie, they were great! Never let us get stopped on a rock! The hospitality at the stop during the float was wonderful , everyone made us feel welcome! My girlfriend and I came down for our four year anniversery and we did the Dunn\'s River Falls and the River Tubing in Ocho Rios. It went extremely smooth with pre booking online through Jaital.com. This was an amazing experience. All 4 of us had a wonderful time. Booking on line was easy and our guide was there to meet us at the port in Ocho Rios. Our guide, Alphonzo, was wonderful. He gave us history on the island, dropped us off and picked us up from each location. Took us shopping (not part of the tour), and gave us lots of advise on how to handle the locals. We loved Ocho Rios and wish to thank the entire Jaital team! My group took the tubing adventure, climbed Dunn\'s River Falls and had a wonderful lunch at the ruins. Tubing was both exciting and relaxing and the tube handlers added so much fun with their singing and laughter. My souvenir photos and my Calabash purse are treasured! The Falls were amazing and we avoided the long lines of larger groups. Lunch was delicious in a beautiful setting! We weren\'t in port long, but because of the excellent driving and schedule we had a full fun day with time for happy shopping on the way back to the ship. Amazing driver, really made the day memorable I and I will come forward to Ocho Rios another day and will look for my friends at Jaital!. All is Irie! more...

“A Grand Day Out”

We decided we wanted to do River Tubing in Ocho Rios, but the ship wanted to charge a lot of money for the same trip, so we did an internet search and settled on Jaital.com. We saved $30 each over the ship excursion and had a great day! Our driver, Alfanso, was awesome and picked us up promptly 30 minutes after the ship docked. He took us to the White River tubing centre, singing all the way and pointing out local landmarks, and dropped us off. We were the first people there. We were able to leave our bags in the van for safekeeping. The tubing was such fun and Rafael, our guide, and his two little dogs kept us entertained. The dogs even jumped onto the tubes with us for part of the ride. Rafael sang Jamaican songs all the way down the river and we stopped part way for a photo session. The printer for the photos was leaving a line down the picture, so the photographer gave us a disk with all the photos on it for $20 which was really good value. We then headed to Mahogany Beach for a couple of hours and had lunch there and swam in the beautiful warm water. We had a great experience with Jaital Tours in Ocho Rios. We took the Dunn\\\'s River Falls and White River Tubing Adventure tour. Our driver Alfonso was awesome! He made us feel very safe and cared for, giving us advice about the peddlers (stay away from them!!) and information about the island. He kept his van very clean and allowed us to keep our backpacks in the van while on our excursions. He was waiting for us at the end of each adventure and made sure the guides took great care of us on the tubing adventure. My family recently visited Ocho Rios and we booked an excursion with Jaital Tours and had the best guide/driver anyone can ask for! We were booked on a Monday for the excursion but because of a passport issue one of the family members couldn\\\\\\\'t join us until Tuesday evening. The driver told us no problem and scheduled us for Wednesday instead. Our driver and guide, Alphonso took such good care of us and showed us some sights of Ocho Rios. Anyone who is going to Jamaica and would like to book Dunes River Falls and tubing down the river need to book it with Jaital and definitely ask for Alphonso he will take care of you! “Ocho Rios Adventure with a flip!”

We loved our excursion to Dunns River Falls and White River Tubing. Our driver took great care of us. He first took us to the falls where another representative of the company waited at the entrance to call him when we were finished climbing the falls. Next he took us to a grocery store where we purchased some Red Stripe and sunscreen for the tubing portion. We had a personal guide at the river who took good care of us and even sang to us while we were tubing. We stopped half way and the young adults jumped off of a cliff area. One in our party even climbed a tree and jumped from the cliff while doing a flip. At this half way spot they sold us a Red Stripe for 3 dollars each and mommarazzi took some fun pics which we purchased for six dollars each. The river has just enough quick spots to keep your adrenaline going. If we had more time we would have asked to do the river a second time. Our driver was as fabulous as our guide to Dunn\\\\\\\'s River Falls and tubing trip!! Going to use him again in March when we go back to the falls! I know people say they are afraid of people harrasing them and forcing them to buy drugs, and souvenirs. “An experience of a lifetime”

I want to let you know our experience was fantastic from beginning to end. Your website was easy to use and you answered all my (many) questions before our trip in a timely fashion. The excursion we took included all the options: Dunns River, White River tubing and Mystic Mountain. All were great, but we especially loved the White River Tubing. It took us away from the touristy feel and was a true Jamaican experience. Rambo was our Captain and he went above and beyond to teach us about the culture and to enjoy the tubing experience. But most of all the whole day was fantastic because of our fantastic driver, Alfonso! He took great care of us all day long including a short stop to introduce us to the delicious Jamaican beef patties for a quick snack. He made us feel welcome and made sure to help us get all our activities done and back in time for our dinner reservation. Our excursion was a day we will never forget!
